As you might imagine, I have TONS of pictures of my family... minus myself. Sometimes it's because I don't always like the way my hair, clothes, or lower half looks so I avoid it, but mostly it's because I'm the one who gets the camera out to make sure we capture the moment. A little bit ago, however, I read this post on Pioneer Woman Photography that made me realize that I need to change this! I want my children to have the memory of me holding them, loving on them, and just being with them because of a picture. And when I'm looking at pictures with my grandchildren 40 years from now, I want them to see me, to know who I was! And who cares what I look like!

So... moms, it's time for us to get out from behind the camera!

And to help (and in light of Mother's Day), I'm really excited to announce a special session (with special pricing) that I'm going to be doing just for moms and their kids, no matter the age.

Here's the details:

Date: Saturday May 15, 4:00-6:30
(so you can give a gift of a photo shoot for Mother's Day, May 9th!)
What will happen: Book a session and you'll get one of these cards (in case it's a gift!) that will have your session time on the back. Your shoot will be a fun 20-25 minute mini session of mom and kids. Location will be announced as the date approaches.
What you will get: 10-15 images from session edited on disk (medium resolution), AND an 8x10 professional print of your favorite one!

AND I'm excited to have my sister, Annie, join me for these sessions. She's the one who took the picture of me and my little girl in the card, besides being one of those who inspired me into photography!
